Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS 2025: What’s New?

Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS 2025: What’s New?

1. More Power & Torque

Triumph retains the potent 1,160 cc inline three‑cylinder heart, but for 2025 it gains an extra 3 PS (hp) and 3 Nm, boosting output to 183 PS (180.5 hp) at 10,750 rpm and 128 Nm at 8,750 rpm. The torque curve kicks in slightly earlier, enhancing responsiveness mid-rev.

2. Free‑Flowing Exhaust + Akrapovič Option

A new freer-flow stainless exhaust system helps unlock the increased power and centralizes mass. As an extra, there’s an optional Akrapovič silencer with titanium bracket and carbon-fibre end cap for lighter weight and sharper sound.

3. Smart Electronically Adjustable Öhlins Suspension

The headline change: Öhlins SmartEC3 semi‑active suspension on both ends with OBTi interface. Real-time damping adjustments adapt to riding style and road conditions. Riders can also override with manual compression and rebound settings via the TFT menu.

4. Advanced Rider Aids & Electronics

5. Higher-Performance Hardware

6. Lighter Wheels & Grippier Rubber

New lightweight aluminium wheels (seven-spoke) reduce rotational inertia and sharpen cornering responsiveness. The tyres are now Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V3, replacing Metzeler Racetec RR, but retains same sizes: 120/70‑ZR17 front, 190/55‑ZR17 rear.

7. Slight Weight Bump

Despite hardware updates, the bike’s kerb weight has only increased by about 1 kg, to roughly 199 kg—still trim for its performance class.

8. Styling Tweaks & New Colours

Visually, evolution rather than revolution. New tail cowl, updated yokes to accommodate upright handlebars, and bold new paint schemes: Jet Black; Granite/Diablo Red; and Granite/Triumph Performance Yellow.

9. Connectivity & Convenience

10. Indian Pricing & Positioning

Launched in India at ₹20.39 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi)—a ₹2.44 lakh premium over the outgoing model. Despite the higher price, it remains more affordable than competitors like KTM 1390 Super Duke R and Ducati Streetfighter V4.
