VinFast VF6 Electric SUV Launched in India – Price, Range and Features
Vietnamese electric vehicle company VinFast has officially launched its first cars in India. The company has introduced two electric SUVs – VF6 and VF7 – with bookings now open. The new VF6 is a compact electric SUV designed for city and highway use, offering modern looks, good range, and many features at a competitive price. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.
Price in India
The VinFast VF6 is available in three versions:
- Earth – ₹16.49 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Wind – ₹17.79 lakh
- Wind Infinity – ₹18.29 lakh
This makes it one of the more affordable premium electric SUVs in the Indian market. Booking can be done with a token amount of ₹21,000.
Battery and Range
All versions of the VF6 come with a 59.6 kWh battery pack. This battery gives the SUV an ARAI-certified range of up to 468 km on a single charge for the Earth version and about 463 km for the higher trims. This means owners can travel long distances without frequent charging. VinFast is also offering free charging till July 2028 at its own VGreens network, which is a big plus for new buyers.
Performance
The VF6 is a front-wheel-drive (FWD) electric SUV with a single motor. The Earth version produces about 175–176 PS power and 250 Nm torque, while the Wind and Wind Infinity trims offer around 201 PS power and 310 Nm torque. This allows the VF6 to deliver smooth and powerful performance for city drives as well as highway trips.

Design and Comfort
The VF6 has a modern and stylish design. It features LED projector headlamps, eyebrow-shaped DRLs, a connected LED tail lamp bar, and dual-tone exteriors with rugged body cladding. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin is spacious with dual-tone colors, vegan leather seats on upper trims, a panoramic glass roof, ventilated seats, and dual-zone air conditioning with a PM2.5 filter for cleaner air.
Technology and Infotainment
VinFast has equipped the VF6 with a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports connected car features and over-the-air (OTA) updates. It also gets a colored head-up display (HUD) and the company’s ViVi AI assistant that allows voice control. Other interesting features include a “camp mode” and pet mode, which are useful for long journeys and pet owners.
Safety and Driver Assistance
Safety has been given high importance in the VF6. The SUV offers seven airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill start assist, ISOFIX child seat mounts, disc brakes on all four wheels, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). It also comes with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, lane centering, highway assist, emergency lane-keep assist, and a 360-degree surround-view camera.
Ownership Benefits
VinFast is offering a 7-year or 200,000 km warranty on the vehicle, which gives peace of mind to customers. Buyers will also get three years of free servicing. The company has started 35 dealerships and 26 service centers across India and is building a manufacturing plant in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, to support local production and after-sales service.
