Triumph Speed T4 Now Shines in Bold New Baja Orange Colour Across India
British motorcycle maker Triumph has unveiled a striking new colour for its popular Speed T4 model in India. The latest shade, named Baja Orange, gives the motorcycle a bright and adventurous look that is sure to attract riders who want to stand out on the road.
Fresh and Energetic New Colour
The Baja Orange shade is a first for the Speed T4 line and was inspired by the warm, glowing hues of desert dawns. The front and rear upper half of the fuel tank are painted in this vivid orange tone, while the lower half is finished in matte black. A neat white stripe separates the two colours, adding a stylish contrast. The overall look evokes the essence of sunrise over sandy landscapes.
This vibrant new colour joins four other dual‑tone finishes already available. These include combinations like Caspian Blue with Pearl White, Lava Red Gloss with Pearl White, Phantom Black with Pearl White, and Phantom Black with Storm Grey. With the addition of Baja Orange, customers now have five colour choices for the Speed T4.
No Mechanical Changes, Same Proven Performance
It is important to note that the new colour option brings no changes to the motorcycle’s mechanical setup. The Speed T4 continues to house a 398 cc, single‑cylinder, liquid‑cooled engine. This powerplant delivers approximately 30.6 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 36 Newton‑metres of torque at 5,000 rpm, paired with a six‑speed gearbox and slipper‑assist clutch.
The bike retains all its existing features, such as dual‑channel ABS, LED headlamp and DRLs, analog speedometer with a multifunctional LCD screen, telescopic front forks, and a rear monoshock. The brakes remain disc type on both wheels. The design is neo‑classic, combining modern lighting and technology with a retro, minimalistic silhouette.
Pricing and Availability
In India, the Baja Orange variant is priced at 2.05 lakh rupees ex‑showroom, which is the same as the other colour options in the range. This means buyers do not pay a premium for choosing the new vibrant finish.
For reference, earlier reports had suggested a slightly lower price of 1.99 lakh rupees ex‑showroom. However, the most widely confirmed figure is 2.05 lakh rupees. The new shade is now available at all Triumph showrooms across India.
Triumph’s Growing Presence in the 400 cc Segment
The Speed T4 is part of Triumph’s modern‑classic 400 series, which includes other models such as the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X. Triumph reports that this series saw a 30 percent year‑on‑year growth from financial year 2024 to 2025. Since its launch in October 2024, the Speed T4 has not only gained popularity but has managed to double its sales volumes.
This strong performance has helped Triumph secure the position of the second‑largest player in the classic motorcycle segment in India. The addition of a new colour option is expected to further boost interest among younger riders looking for style along with substance.
How It Stacks Up Against Rivals
The Speed T4, even in the new colour, continues to compete in the crowded 400 cc motorcycle market. Its rivals include the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Harley‑Davidson X440, Yezdi Roadster, Jawa 42 FJ 350, Hero Mavrick 440, and Royal Enfield Classic 350.
What sets the Speed T4 apart are its British heritage, neo‑classic styling, modern features such as slipper clutch and LED lighting, and a refined, smooth engine. The vibrant Baja Orange finish adds to its appeal by giving it a bold, youthful character—something that can be a deciding factor for buyers who weigh aesthetics heavily.
What Indian Riders Can Expect
For Indian riders, the Speed T4 in Baja Orange brings a fresh choice without any downside. The bright colour makes it easier to spot during traffic and adds personality to the bike. Meanwhile, buyers enjoy the same reliable performance, modern tech features, and manageable maintenance that the T4 series is known for.
Dominating the classic‑roadster 400 space, Triumph continues to ride on its momentum. The Baja Orange colour is likely to find favour with style-conscious riders, boosting showroom visits and test rides.
